Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Celino to make the kick off. When Benedicto Lertxun fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manantial FC's protests and gave Benedicto Lertxun a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Esquiú FC a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joel Urbasa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manantial FC's Pascual Weterio. 2-0. After 88 played minutes Manantial FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Oskarbi. Pascual Weterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
