After having played for 7 minutes, Guido Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arauca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guido Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaudencio Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Faro in the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Guzman during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leo Guzman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Gonzalo Roderigo charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Roderigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Arauca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Roderigo to maneuver through the defense. Benicio Boniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Iliana's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Arauca's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Roldan came free, but Benicio Boniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Esther's zone, Gonzalo Roderigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Fiz came out of the goal and Gonzalo Roderigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Gaudencio Fiz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Benicio Boniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Roldan in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

54 minutes into the game, Arauca's Gonzalo Roderigo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaudencio Fiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Roldan in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benicio Boniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodolfo Roldan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benicio Boniel. That made the score 1-1 in the 62 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Iliana got free with Benicio Boniel in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Rodolfo Roldan took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Benicio Boniel to make any attempt to save it. Blas Michael struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Benicio Boniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esther. Rodolfo Roldan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute Rodolfo Roldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Boniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Roldan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Boniel having to interfere. Arauca's Benicio Boniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Arauca from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Iliana got free with Benicio Boniel in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rdth minute of the game Rodolfo Roldan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arauca's Benicio Boniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 95 in the game by Humberto Iliana from a close distance when the talented Benicio Boniel managed to make a qualified save. Arauca's players were relieved. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Esther walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
