The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mattaldi's David Txilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Mattaldi from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Cobos defense, Adrian Salvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Aguirre. The Cobos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Aguirre should have stopped the shot. In the 11th match minute, Mattaldi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Salvador George charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador George the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes Cobos got a freekick which was hit by Salvador George. Flavio Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Flavio Aguirre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Salvino in the 22nd minute of play. Adrian Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Aguirre having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cobos! Mattaldi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Narciso Matei scored to the left of an out of position David Txilar, making the score, 2-2. Mattaldi's David Txilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Matei in the 34th minute of play. Teofilo Dei charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teofilo Dei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cobos booed when Mattaldi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Dei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cobos's Inocencio Txema was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The wind increased when Robustiano Vidal made the kick off in the second half. Narciso Matei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. David Txilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Matei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrian Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Aguirre having to interfere. Adrian Salvino charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Salvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adrian Salvino hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Narciso Matei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
