The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Güemes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ancóm:s goal. In the 19th minute, Gaston Ugaitz made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Iaki. Güemes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Pedro Iaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Papo in the 22nd minute of the match. When Romulo Veto fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ancóm's protests and gave Romulo Veto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ancóm's Romulo Veto got a free kick in the 96th minute. Filomeno Euloxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Nahia in the 97th minute of play.
