Cazapán's Geronimo Normando suffered a sprained foot after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliberto Polentzi during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, Feliberto Polentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Genaro Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Emesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Endira in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cazapán's zone, Genaro Igon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Elizardo came out of the goal and Genaro Igon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jesus Endira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Endira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Eugenio Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cazapán's Eugenio Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Igon in the 35th minute of play. Eugenio Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Igon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Honesto charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Honesto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cazapán booed when Brinkmann AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Honesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cazapán's Leonides Izel got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cazapán's Eugenio Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Endira in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Genaro Igon was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Genaro Igon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesus Endira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Genaro Igon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brinkmann AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Genaro Igon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Elizardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brinkmann AFC's Jesus Endira got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugenio Elizardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Igon in the 83rd minute of the match. Jesus Endira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 minutes, Felipe Herena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cazapán and the Brinkmann AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Brinkmann AFC booed when Cazapán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Herena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Brinkmann AFC got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Polentzi. After 97 minutes, Eduardo Ferman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cazapán and the Brinkmann AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eduardo Ferman hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Brinkmann AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
