Javier Perfecto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virreyes AFC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Roano got free with Javier Perfecto in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caldao's Javier Perfecto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Hotz in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Virreyes AFC's Lucas Hotz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Perfecto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Caldao were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Caldao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edelmiro Roano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The Virreyes AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Edelmiro Roano fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 90th minute, Froilan Montae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caldao's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Florencio Dalmu was slow to take the kick. During this time Virreyes AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Florencio Dalmu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caldao's Javier Perfecto did a great save. Amador Gerazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Virreyes AFC had won after a very even match.
