In the 6th minute Severiano Medardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Nofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Tucumán's Fernando Barea fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 12th match minute, Huanchillas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Cayo to maneuver through the defense. Christian Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Barea in the 18th minute of play. Severiano Medardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Nofre having to interfere. When Elias Gurutz fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huanchillas AFC's protests and gave Elias Gurutz a yellow card for diving instead. Elias Gurutz hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Tucumán's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Lopez came free, but Marciano Pere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Medardo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Nofre. Christian Nofre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fernando Barea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Nofre having to make a save. After 47 minutes, Denis Gomesano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huanchillas AFC and the Tucumán players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Huanchillas AFC's Denis Gomesano got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the match, Huanchillas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Barea came free, but Christian Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes in the game, Fernando Barea fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Christian Nofre having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Barea in the 69th minute of play forced Huanchillas AFC's goalkeeper Christian Nofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Severiano Medardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Huanchillas AFC's Christian Nofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Barea in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Huanchillas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Cayo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severiano Medardo got free with Christian Nofre in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Gomesano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Marciano Pere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Huanchillas AFC's Denis Gomesano got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Gomesano in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marciano Pere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute, Ildefonso Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marciano Pere was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
