The Perchel AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Fernando Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. Faustino Ticho ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Perchel AFC's corner Faustino Ticho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marciano Pere quite easily take care of the ball. After 46 minutes, Severiano Medardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tucumán and the Perchel AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Barea to make the kick off. Marciano Pere made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Prospero Matai sent off a good shot on target. Prospero Matai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Pere having to interfere. If Fernando Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Ramirez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Barea's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Tucumán booed when Perchel AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Ticho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Pere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Goiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Fernando Barea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ildefonso Goiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernando Barea's late challenge caught a Perchel AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
