Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mataderos FC's Damian Mercurio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roberto Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santo Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Ler having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Mataderos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Benitez came free, but Gogo Ler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Mercurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Ekhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gogo Ler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Ekhi in the 20th minute. Roberto Ekhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Ler having to interfere. Damian Mercurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Benitez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Ekhi struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Gogo Ler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cordobita. If Santo Benitez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santo Benitez made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Benitez in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gogo Ler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Mataderos FC's zone, Roberto Ekhi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gogo Ler came out of the goal and Roberto Ekhi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Santo Benitez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Roberto Ekhi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Ler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Ekhi in the 65th minute of play forced Mataderos FC's goalkeeper Gogo Ler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Ekhi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Gogo Ler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes in the game, Leo Urtsua fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Desiderio Gonzalez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cordobita's zone, Damian Mercurio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Gonzalez came out of the goal and Damian Mercurio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute, Cordobita's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leo Urtsua fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Desiderio Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Mercurio in the 81st minute of the match. Leo Urtsuas short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Desiderio Gonzalez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 87th minute, Esteban Reno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Damian Mercurio came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Mataderos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Mercurio couldn't finish the play. After 90 minutes of play, Mataderos FC's Leo Urtsua made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Desiderio Gonzalez was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Cordobita's zone, Leo Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Gonzalez came out of the goal and Leo Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roberto Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mataderos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
