Ramiro Hanot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Meder in the 6th minute of the match. Sebastian Meder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Hanot having to interfere. If Reynaldo Palban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute, Mayo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nunez Dalmau fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Alfredo Euloxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Ongile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ramiro Hanot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Reynaldo Palban came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Tortugas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Palban couldn't finish the play. If Reynaldo Palban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bernabe Chuse fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mayo FC's protests and gave Bernabe Chuse a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mayo FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bernabe Chuse hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dante Ongile in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro Hanot prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dante Ongile stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dante Ongile received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ramiro Hanot came out and tried to block the shot, but Dante Ongile slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 54th minute. Mayo FC's Teobaldo Gabirel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Dalmau in the 58th minute of play. When Sebastian Meder came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Mayo FC fans jumped to their feet. Tortugas's Reynaldo Palban got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute Dante Ongile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Hanot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Gabirel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Palban went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Reynaldo Palban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Gabirel having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Mayo FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
