Placido Sindo made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Sebastian Meder sent off a good shot on target. Conrado Baleren charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Rito in the 42nd minute of play forced Mayo FC's goalkeeper Teobaldo Gabirel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Teobaldo Gabirel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yala. Gilberto Erroman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teobaldo Gabirel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mayo FC's goalie and right to Gilberto Erroman. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mayo FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 86th match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Erroman to maneuver through the defense. Dante Ongile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Sindo having to interfere. Placido Sindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Ongile in the 94th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
