Teobaldo Maidana came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Santo Cordarrel could save by the left post. After having played for 19 minutes, Edgardo Elija managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Elija was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Calera defense, Teobaldo Maidana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santo Cordarrel. The Calera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santo Cordarrel should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Bermund in the 27th minute of play forced Calera's goalkeeper Santo Cordarrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Bernardo Bermund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huacalera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Bermund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Teobaldo Maidana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Bernardo Bermund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Cordarrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paolo Dacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Nuñez in the 41st minute of the match. Paolo Dacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Nuñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Leonides Oinaz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the game, Leonides Oinaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huacalera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calera the free kick. The supporters of Calera booed when Huacalera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Oinaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Cordarrel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Bermund's shot from short distance in the 70th minute.
