The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, one of Alfonso AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alfonso AFC. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Altautina. Roberto Fresco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Efrain Cordarell. 0-1. If Leandro Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Domingos Salbatore took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jimeno Navarro to make any attempt to save it. Jimeno Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Estefan, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Ovidio Guib blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Efrain Cordarell having to make a save. Alfonso AFC's Efrain Cordarell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Vidal in the 24th minute of play. Genaro Salvator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Efrain Cordarell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Joaquin Estefan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alfonso AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Estefan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robustiano Frantzes's late challenge caught a Alfonso AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robustiano Frantzes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Altautina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Frantzes to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Cordarell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Calisto in the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to Alfonso AFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Victorio Seguinus hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualterio Vidal in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efrain Cordarell saved Alfonso AFC from getting behind. In the 45th match minute, Alfonso AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Frederico to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Salbatore in the 54th minute of play forced Altautina's goalkeeper Jimeno Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Estefan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Navarro having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Altautina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Bidari to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leandro Calisto during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Vidal couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Gualterio Vidal took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Efrain Cordarell to make any attempt to save it. After 81 played minutes Alfonso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Llope. Leandro Calisto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Efrain Cordarell came out and tried to block the shot, but Leandro Calisto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 82nd minute. In the 90th minute, Gualterio Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquin Estefan charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquin Estefan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquin Estefan kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
