Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ismael Llorenc got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Alberto Hartz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lanús fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Fulgencio Mikelar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Albano Garikoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lanús booed when Cardoso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Frisco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geronimo Cordarin hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Saul Fliz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Raimundo Dolfo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Cardoso getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Amancio Oton hit a great ball. Raimundo Dolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Tallia having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Cardoso's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Hartz came free, but Mateo Tallia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Llorenc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Albano Garikoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Dolfo in the 32nd minute of play forced Cardoso's goalkeeper Mateo Tallia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lanús's Raimundo Dolfo got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Raimundo Dolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Deunoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Mateo Tallia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismael Llorenc in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albano Garikoitz saved Lanús from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Hartz to make the kick off. With a little luck, Cardoso's Mateo Tallia got control of the ball when Raimundo Dolfo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mateo Tallia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Dolfo in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cardoso's Geronimo Cordarin got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Efrain Bitxintxo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mateo Tallia skillfully saved the ball. After 73 minutes, Silvano Platon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanús and the Cardoso players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Platon. Raimundo Dolfo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Mateo Tallia made a huge save. Albano Garikoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Mikelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Fulgencio Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Garikoitz having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Ismael Llorenc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Silvano Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanús's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvano Platon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lanús eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
