Hugo Hondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Efren in the 11th minute of play. Hugo Hondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Cesario, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Anibal Gaufred hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Isaias Cesario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 29 played minutes Piquilin FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Darien. Brete's Rigoberto Cresitobalo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Piquilin FC. Isaias Cesario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matias Guillens short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Eloy Palos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 35 minutes into the game, Isaias Cesario cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Hugo Hondo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 40 minutes, Amado Kaxen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brete and the Piquilin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Brete got a freekick which was hit by Amado Kaxen. Matias Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Sazon to make the kick off. Piquilin FC's Hugo Hondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Piquilin FC from getting a goal against them. Isaias Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Hondo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Piquilin FC's Baldomiro Darien got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 64th minute, when Brete's Rigoberto Cresitobalo after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Hugo Hondo in Piquilin FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. If Matias Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Palos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Guillen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Brete getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Vicente Janpier hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Armando Sazon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Palos was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Adrian Brion hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Felipe Efren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Hondo having to interfere. Isaias Cesario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Hondo having to make a save. In the 94th minute, Adrian Brion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brete walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
