The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Orlando Tab made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Evaristo Fernado sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Fernado got free with Orlando Tab in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Matei in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Lehoi saved Landetta AFC from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Adrian Quinten fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Landetta AFC's Julio Jeraldo in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shaqui FC's goalie prevented a goal. Filiberto Tabb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Shaqui FC's Pedro Matei in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Landetta AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32nd minute of the match Leopoldo Millrick sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Tab skillfully saved the ball. Ariel Lehoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiberto Tabb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Tab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Quinten in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Andres Breogan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shaqui FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Landetta AFC the free kick. The supporters of Landetta AFC booed when Shaqui FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Breogan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Quinten scored 1-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Tab, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ariel Lehoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiberto Tabb's shot from short distance in the 50th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Orlando Tab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Quinten, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Evaristo Fernado scored 2-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Tab, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ariel Lehoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Tabb in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Evaristo Fernado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orlando Tab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Quinten, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Shaqui FC got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Hats. Adrian Quinten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Orlando Tab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clodoveo Hats hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Shaqui FC's zone, Evaristo Fernado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Tab came out of the goal and Evaristo Fernado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Quinten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando Tab read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Landetta AFC's zone, Pedro Matei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Lehoi came out of the goal and Pedro Matei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Filiberto Tabb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Matei came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Shaqui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Matei couldn't finish the play. Shaqui FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
