After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Federico Mark managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elena's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Mark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Estebe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arana FC's Amancio Estebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Belasko in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, Elena's Danilo Lauro got control of the ball when Lisandro Montel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danilo Lauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Vincente, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Amancio Estebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Mark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danilo Lauro came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Arana FC's Jimeno Vincente. But to his dismay, Jimeno Vincente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Zeledon Ovando kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Federico Mark came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Elena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Mark couldn't finish the play. Arana FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Belasko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Patricio Belasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Estebe having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jimeno Vincente was the one to do the kick off. Patricio Belasko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Amancio Estebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute of the match Gavino Orlo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amancio Estebe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jimeno Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Lauro having to interfere. Pedro Lartaun kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Mark in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amancio Estebe saved Arana FC from getting behind. In the 70th minute Patricio Belasko suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 71 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Sidro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elena the free kick. 70 minutes into the game, one of Arana FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Elena's zone, Jimeno Vincente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Lauro came out of the goal and Jimeno Vincente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute Federico Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Arana FC's Atilano Gombal got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Federico Mark managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 95 minutes of play, Arana FC's Lisandro Montel made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Lauro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elena were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
