The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Damaso Urre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Quexal in the 5th minute. Apolo Dominguez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Perpinya having to make a save. Alberto Perpinya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Dominguez in the 10th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gualterio Tono's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damaso Urre was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. If Celso Quexal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Albano Quinto came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Rigby AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Quinto couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Rigby AFC booed when Godoy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Perpinya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Quinto in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th minute Gualterio Tono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Urre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Sindo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Rigby AFC's Damaso Urre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Rigby AFC from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Odol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Godoy AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rigby AFC the free kick. The supporters of Rigby AFC booed when Godoy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Odol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Rigby AFC's Apolo Dominguez got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Apolo Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Rigby AFC's Apolo Dominguez got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match Albano Quinto climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Alberto Perpinya. Apolo Dominguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Vargas during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Godoy AFC got a freekick which was hit by Federico Vargas. Albano Quinto had several of the Godoy AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Alberto Perpinya as he didn't even see the shot coming. Abel Lohitzun kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Alberto Perpinya successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Albano Quinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celso Quexal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Damaso Urre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Godoy AFC's goalkeeper Alberto Perpinya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albano Quinto. In the 80th minute of the match Ricardo Benino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damaso Urre skillfully saved the ball. Gualterio Tono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Damaso Urre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Godoy AFC's zone, Apolo Dominguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Perpinya came out of the goal and Apolo Dominguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albano Quinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alberto Perpinya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 90th minute of the match Jeronimo Odol completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jeronimo Odol a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Rigby AFC booed when Godoy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Odol didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rigby AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
