In the 4th minute, Denis Taurino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaron Senon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ubaldo Etxahun. Velloso's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Saturnino Diegotxe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Platon in the 8th minute. Amancio Mikelats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Etxahun having to interfere. The supporters of Vallecito booed when Velloso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Shantala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Platons short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Saturnino Diegotxe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Norberto Lorencio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saturnino Diegotxe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Amancio Mikelats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Etxahun having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Velloso's Eugenio Ermano got a free kick in the 44th minute. 0-2 became the score in the 46th minute when Blas Elivareo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After the first half Vallecito were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Norberto Lorencio made the kick off in the second half. Amancio Mikelats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ubaldo Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saturnino Diegotxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Platon in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Alvaro Platon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Diegotxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, Alvaro Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velloso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Platon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 74 in the game by Amancio Mikelats from a close distance when the talented Ubaldo Etxahun managed to make a qualified save. Velloso's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amancio Mikelats got free with Ubaldo Etxahun in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norberto Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Diegotxe having to interfere. The supporters of Vallecito booed when Velloso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Shantala didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Blas Elivareo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Alvaro Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velloso's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Platon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Diegotxe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Shantala in the 93rd minute of play forced Vallecito's goalkeeper Saturnino Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velloso's Ubaldo Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Elivareo in the 94th minute of play. Ubaldo Etxahun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Weterio in the 97th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vallecito eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
