Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Victorino Florian took the kick off in the first half of the match. Obanta's Melchor Haritzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Clemencin in the 12th minute of play. Leonides Llin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Iturri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Obanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Henry to maneuver through the defense. Alejo Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Melchor Haritzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Victorino Florian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Obanta's Victorino Florian fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Tacuaruzú's zone, Victorino Florian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Llin came out of the goal and Victorino Florian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Laureano Iturri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Obanta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half Obanta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Clemencin was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Victorino Florian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Florian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Llin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carmelo Garaile kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Laureano Iturri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Cosme Duardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nemesio Clemencin in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melchor Haritzeder saved Obanta from getting behind. Victorino Florian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Victorino Florian fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Obanta's protests and gave Victorino Florian a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tacuaruzú booed when Obanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Florian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melchor Haritzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Odon in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Baldomiro Iruinea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Obanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomiro Iruinea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Obanta's Amadeo Henry got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nemesio Clemencin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorino Florian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alejo Odon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tacuaruzú's Alejo Odon in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Obanta's goalie prevented a goal. When the match was over Obanta could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tacuaruzú throughout the match.
