The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Nalo in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eulalio Eneas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute Eugenio Quintyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Fresco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Quintyn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romulo Fresco having to make a save. Maximo Quintan hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Tucumanao were awarded a corner. Iker Hitzeder went to the cornerflag to take it. Iker Hitzeder made a great header on Tucumanao's corner, it was just that Avellaneda's Romulo Fresco managed to reach the ball for a save. After 41 played minutes Iker Hitzeder shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Avellaneda's Romulo Fresco to catch but Iker Hitzeder was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. If Eugenio Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Llanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Quintyn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tucumanao's Eulalio Eneas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Tucumanao from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute Wilfredo Nalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Eneas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avellaneda's goalkeeper Romulo Fresco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tucumanao's zone, Wilfredo Nalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eulalio Eneas came out of the goal and Wilfredo Nalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Avellaneda's Wilfredo Nalo got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Wilfredo Nalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romulo Fresco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Cucao in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Nunez Llanos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Saul Boniel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfredo Nalo struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Eulalio Eneas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avellaneda. Eulalio Eneas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Nalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Raimundo Pepillo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romulo Fresco. Avellaneda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Romulo Fresco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Quintyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Roman Ado hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Tucumanao's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
