The referee showed Ubaldo Rufio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 4 minutes into the game, Orlando Caradaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catamarca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lozano AFC the free kick. Orlando Caradaro hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Lozano AFC's Zacarias Gar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Ubaldo Rufio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingo Veremundo had great luck who in the 15thth minute grab hold of the ball when Siro Colas from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Manuel Udalaitz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Ubaldo Rufio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Filiberto Ebardo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lozano AFC's protests and gave Filiberto Ebardo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lozano AFC's Filiberto Ebardo got a free kick in the 19th minute. Manuel Udalaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Catamarca FC's Pablo Eguntsenti got a free kick in the 27th minute. Gervasio Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Isaac Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catamarca FC's Siro Colas got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salvador Iyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Iyan struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Isaac Rodriguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lozano AFC. Lozano AFC's Gervasio Santiago got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zeledon Havier kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Santiago to make the kick off. With a little luck, Catamarca FC's Isaac Rodriguez got control of the ball when Salvador Iyan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute of the match Haroldo Johans sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingo Veremundo skillfully saved the ball. In the 64th match minute, Lozano AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Xabel to maneuver through the defense. Ubaldo Rufio might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingo Veremundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Rufio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute Siro Colas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Veremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lozano AFC's Domingo Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Colas in the 73rd minute of play. Catamarca FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Gervasio Santiago scored to the left of an out of position Isaac Rodriguez, making the score, 1-1. In the 78th minute Siro Colas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Veremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Manuel Udalaitz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Isaac Rodriguez, 1-2. Gervasio Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Isaac Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play Catamarca FC's Zeledon Havier was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Lozano AFC booed when Catamarca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Salvador Iyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isaac Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
