Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ciro Guillelmus took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Ciro Guillelmus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardozo AFC's Albano Boniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgard Rencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dante Astudillo's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Cardozo AFC's Albano Boniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Guillelmus in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cardozo AFC's zone, Ciro Guillelmus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Boniel came out of the goal and Ciro Guillelmus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gualterio Clementi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Albano Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ciro Guillelmus, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Albano Boniel was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Godofredo Joey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cardozo AFC booed when Varela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Pacorro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo Gaueko during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cardozo AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Arnaldo Gaueko hit a great ball. When Varela's Ciro Guillelmus in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cardozo AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute, Fulgencio Nesto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 45 played minutes Cardozo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Gaueko. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dante Astudillo to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Paulo Jakue managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardozo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Jakue was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Rencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dante Astudillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Varela's Ciro Guillelmus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albano Boniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76thth minute of the game Paulo Jakue who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varela's Edgard Rencio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgard Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Jakue in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dante Astudillo in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Rencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Varela's Fulgencio Nesto got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Cardozo AFC defense, Gualterio Clementi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albano Boniel. The Cardozo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albano Boniel should have stopped the shot. David Frichoso hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
