Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute Pedro Tartalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute, Fulgencio Nesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Todor in the 6th minute of play forced Varela's goalkeeper Edgard Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varela's Edgard Rencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Tartalo in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Guillelmus in the 11th minute of play forced Capdeville's goalkeeper Paolo Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Justo Oriche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capdeville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Oriche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Varela's Edgard Rencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Todor in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Varela's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Todor came free, but Edgard Rencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Capdeville's Adriana Ixona got a free kick in the 25th minute. Capdeville's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ciro Guillelmus 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jimeno Todor in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Rencio saved Varela from getting behind. Edgard Rencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Tartalo's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Jimeno Todor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Tartalo to strike the kick off in the second half. Varela's Edgard Rencio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Varela from getting a goal against them. Edgard Rencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Tartalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimeno Todor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Edgard Rencio made a huge save. Jimeno Todor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Rencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Donato Sayveon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Berenguer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, one of Varela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Varela. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Capdeville's Mauro Berenguer got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edgard Rencio. If Pedro Tartalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Guillelmus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Pedro Tartalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pedro Tartalo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Capdeville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Tartalo couldn't finish the play. Jimeno Todor might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Rencio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimeno Todor ran back to his position shaking his head. Jimeno Todor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Edgard Rencio made a huge save. 98 minutes into the match, Capdeville's Pedro Tartalo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Rencio narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
