In the 5th minute, Leonides Escobar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geronimo Ofelio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Leonides Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Ofelio having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Alastuey AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Escobar came free, but Geronimo Ofelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Amadeo Tabby fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cañuelas's protests and gave Amadeo Tabby a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cañuelas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! After some careless play in the Cañuelas defense, Jeronimo Chabier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnaldo Monico. The Cañuelas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaldo Monico should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Cañuelas booed when Alastuey AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Lalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geronimo Ofelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nemesio Telesforo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Ofelio having to interfere. Emilio Acuña hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Tadeo Geleberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Monico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Acuña kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tadeo Geleberto made the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Monico came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Alastuey AFC's Jeronimo Chabier. But to his dismay, Jeronimo Chabier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Jeronimo Chabier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Nemesio Telesforo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Geronimo Ofelio, passed just outside the right post. 65 minutes into the game, Julian Qwinton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alastuey AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cañuelas the free kick. After 65 played minutes Alastuey AFC got a freekick which was hit by Julian Qwinton. A collision led to Cañuelas getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ricardo Aguirre hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Cañuelas's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Chabier came free, but Arnaldo Monico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nemesio Telesforos short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Geronimo Ofelio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Jeronimo Chabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Geleberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 played minutes Cañuelas got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Aguirre. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cañuelas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucas Mogel was slow to take the kick. During this time Alastuey AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cañuelas's goalie and right to Julian Qwinton. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cañuelas's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Alastuey AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
