Silvano Clis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Telesforo in the 7th minute of the match. Arnaldo Monico made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Remigio Transito sent off a good shot on target. Gogo Domeka hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Javier Hotz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match Amadeo Tabby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvano Clis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Cañuelas's Arnaldo Monico got control of the ball when Remigio Transito tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute, Cañuelas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Remigio Transito fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Emilio Acuña charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Acuña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Cañuelas got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Acuña. Silvano Clis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Escobar in the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Pes got free with Arnaldo Monico in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrique Franco thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Silvano Clis, a very annoying self made goal in the 33rd minute which led to 1-1. Arnaldo Monico was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusebio Sanchez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 42 minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Emilio Acuña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cañuelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Acuña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Silvano Clis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Transito in the 56th minute of play forced Cañuelas's goalkeeper Arnaldo Monico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Monico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Sanchez's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When Ricardo Aguirre fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cañuelas's protests and gave Ricardo Aguirre a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Aguirre kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Sanchez in the 69th minute of play forced Cañuelas's goalkeeper Arnaldo Monico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ricardo Aguirre was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. After 76 played minutes Cañuelas got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Aguirre. If Eusebio Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The Rincón fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cañuelas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
