Mauro Guzman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Efrain Uzuri made a huge save. The supporters of Challacó AFC booed when Colelache was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 37th minute, Saturnino Atauri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Colelache's Roberto Garaile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Caradaro in the 40th minute of play. Juan Raphael hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Challacó AFC's goalkeeper Efrain Uzuri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Challacó AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jonas Etxahun hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severo Rami stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Colelache's Roberto Garaile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Tallia in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 played minutes Colelache got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Mirande. In the 56th minute Maximo Caradaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Garaile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Colelache's zone, Maximo Caradaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Garaile came out of the goal and Maximo Caradaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Maximo Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Caradaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Roberto Garaile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Rami's late challenge caught a Challacó AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
