Nirihuao AFC's Cristo Austin got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Delfino during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cipriano Salomone didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Pila's Roque Aragones shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Nirihuao AFC's Cristo Austin got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Pila booed when Nirihuao AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Austin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 59th minute Roque Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Salomone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herminio Rojelio struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Norberto Guifre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nirihuao AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Nirihuao AFC's zone, Jose Boni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Salomone came out of the goal and Jose Boni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Herminio Rojelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
