Thanks to some nice moves Gonzalo Jesco could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Saverio Rio however easily saved by the left post. Emilio Castel struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Isidoro Licerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Animaná. Agustin Florinio charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Florinio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Agustin Florinio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Castel in the 9th minute of play forced Fátima's goalkeeper Isidoro Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alejo Firmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Lucado in the 20th minute of play forced Animaná's goalkeeper Saverio Rio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruperto Ostadar struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Isidoro Licerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Animaná. In the 31stth minute of the game Alejo Firmo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Animaná's Saverio Rio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Isidoro Licerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gonzalo Jesco came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Fátima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Jesco couldn't finish the play. After 44 minutes, Feliberto Illart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Animaná and the Fátima players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Animaná was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Illart to maneuver through the defense. Saverio Rio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejo Firmo's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Castel was the one to do the kick off. Lisandro Oinaz took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saverio Rio. Saverio Rio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Alejo Firmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fátima's Damaso Lucado got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Ismael Illart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonzalo Jesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78th play minutes Alejo Firmo shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Saverio Rio and just under the crossbar into goal. Alejo Firmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Saverio Rio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saverio Rio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Firmo in the 88th minute of the match. When Alejo Firmo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Fátima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Firmo couldn't finish the play. Saverio Rio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Jesco in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fátima fully deserved thier win.
