Evelio Valerio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Guilabertus having to make a save. Orlando Vasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Maximino Taurino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alumbrera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Taurino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Maximo Orzaize made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Maximo Orzaize ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnoldo Rafel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fulgencio Joachim during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Irigoyen's Fulgencio Joachim got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 89 played minutes Alumbrera got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Lucero. In the 90th minute of the match Fernan Fertus shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Guilabertus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 91st minute Fulgencio Joachim suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 91 minutes into the game, Isaac Raymond was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alumbrera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irigoyen the free kick. Alumbrera's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
