After 40 minutes, Vinicio Benvide mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colastiné and the Mechita players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vinicio Benvide hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Salvador Lopes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Mendebal skillfully saved the ball. Marcelo Musko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Neron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zacarias Mendebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Marcelo Musko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 78 minutes into the match, Anier Gonsalve notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mechita's Marcelo Musko. Marcelo Musko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Rosendo Neron came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Colastiné fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Neron couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Mechita's Aquiles Ranolfo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Mendebal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Colastiné were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mechita for a fine match.
