An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Nevada in the 6th minute of play forced Casana FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Salto FC booed when Casana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ildefonso Nevada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Casana FC's Martin Ederono ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tadeo Celino. Tadeo Celino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Vladimiro Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Nevada in the 16th minute of play. Tadeo Celino made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Genaro Fliz sent off a good shot on target. Martin Ederono was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 22 minutes into the match, Salto FC's Eleuterio Astrada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimiro Semeno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Justo Amaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Martin Ederono came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Casana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Ederono couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genaro Fliz got free with Tadeo Celino in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Mario Artal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Salto FC's Ildefonso Nevada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimiro Semeno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Eleuterio Astrada made the kick off in the second half. Eleuterio Astrada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Semeno having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Ildefonso Nevada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 played minutes Salto FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Raphael. After 65 played minutes Salto FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Emeterio. In the 67th minute of the match Mario Artal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeo Celino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Genaro Fliz struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tadeo Celino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casana FC. In the 74thth minute of the game Genaro Fliz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salto FC's Tadeo Celino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute, Zeledon Selatse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Casana FC's Genaro Fliz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadeo Celino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ildefonso Nevada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casana FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
