Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pascual Estevez started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Marciano Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Tab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Blas Palben tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Tab came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Blas Palben could save by the left post. In the 14th minute, Joaquin Austin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sauzal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 19th minute Pascual Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Palben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Tab could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Blas Palben made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Joaquin Austin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Casado hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes, Melchor Basualdo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Maizales's Alberto Gonzales tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sauzal's Blas Palben played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Estevez in the 36th minute of play. Miguel Dalmai kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47thth minute of the game Pascual Estevez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sauzal's Blas Palben was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Blas Palben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Tab, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Blas Palben showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Estevez in the 63rd minute of the match. When Gustavo Casado fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sauzal's protests and gave Gustavo Casado a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Sauzal got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Casado. Joaquin Austin kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Maizales got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Etxatxu. The supporters of Sauzal booed when Maizales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Etxatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Melchor Basualdo came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Sauzal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Basualdo couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute of the match, Melchor Basualdo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alberto Gonzales was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Eustaquio Oliverios put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Maizales:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sauzal:s goal. In the 97th minute Marciano Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Gonzales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sauzal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sauzal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
