Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Apuyaco's Faustino Gaufred started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Remigio Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 8 minutes, Remigio Guillen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huanchilla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Guillen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Auguste Ollivier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Huanchilla FC booed when Apuyaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Guillerme didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes, Victor Goito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apuyaco and the Huanchilla FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Apuyaco fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Marcial Pereyra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamie Goucher having to interfere. Faustino Gaufred recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Faustino Gaufred's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jamie Goucher was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Faustino Gaufred sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Apuyaco's goalkeeper Eriberto Gagriel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primitivo Oihan. In the 39thth minute of the game Faustino Gaufred who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huanchilla FC's Jamie Goucher was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remigio Guillen to make the kick off. If Auguste Ollivier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamie Goucher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Pereyra in the 55th minute. Jamie Goucher was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Faustino Gaufred capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Faustino Gaufred really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. In the 59th minute, Veltin Leuenberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marcial Pereyra came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Apuyaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Pereyra couldn't finish the play. Huanchilla FC's Auguste Ollivier got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remigio Guillen took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Gagriel. Eriberto Gagriel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Faustino Gaufred might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamie Goucher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustino Gaufred ran back to his position shaking his head. If Remigio Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamie Goucher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Gaufred, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Marcial Pereyra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamie Goucher having to interfere. Faustino Gaufred recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th match minute, Apuyaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Guerau to maneuver through the defense. Marcial Pereyra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jamie Goucher having to make a save.
