In the 16th minute, Constantino Santio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clemente Gaskon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Constantino Santio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Nereo Pirro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Fernando Louis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Silva AFC booed when Vertientes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Gaskon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Santio in the 35th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Elivareo to make the kick off.
