Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rodeo's Baldomiro Ikatz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clemente Sindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lisandro Xabel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldomiro Ikatz's late challenge caught a Ocho Quesos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomiro Ikatz helped the player get up and apologised. Baldomiro Ikatz hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Mario Gauargi made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Ubaldo Ugaitz sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, Ocho Quesos's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Ikatz came free, but Mario Gauargi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Eloy Lano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ocho Quesos's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloy Lano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Xabel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ocho Quesos's Guillermo Cordarius got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 21st match minute, Ocho Quesos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Argina to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 28 in the game by Ubaldo Ugaitz from a close distance when the talented Mario Gauargi managed to make a qualified save. Ocho Quesos's players were relieved. Baldomiro Ikatz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Gauargi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Rodeo got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Intxixu. After 34 played minutes Rodeo got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Luke. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Cordarius during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mario Gauargi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Ikatz in the 42nd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eloy Lano made a kick off. A collision led to Rodeo getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Camilo Montez hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes, Rodeo's Teodoro Domiku shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mario Gauargi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rodeo reached it. Mario Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Ikatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. A collision led to Rodeo getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Basilio Luke hit a great ball. Lisandro Xabel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eloy Lano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 81 minute of play. If Ubaldo Ugaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Ugaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Clemente Sindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ocho Quesos were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Rodeo's much stronger midfield.
