Simon Aureo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Urre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Fabio Katia hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Simon Aureo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 17 minutes, Fabio Katia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciudacita AFC and the Never Back Down players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabio Katia hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Silverio Iago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciudacita AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Iago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Bemabe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute of the match Froilan Pitin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodrigo Urre skillfully saved the ball. In the 35th minute Silverio Iago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Bemabe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Aureo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Urre having to interfere. If Feliciano Onofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Aureo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fabio Katia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. In the 48th minute, Fabio Katia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Aureo in the 49th minute of play forced Ciudacita AFC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Urre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Aureo made a kick off. When Silverio Iago came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Ciudacita AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Iago couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Feliciano Onofre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Urre was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, Never Back Down's Simon Aureo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Urre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Simon Aureo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Aureo in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Urre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Never Back Down's Simon Aureo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Never Back Down's Simon Aureo in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ciudacita AFC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliciano Onofre in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Urre saved Ciudacita AFC from getting behind. Ubaldo Gonza charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Gonza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Silverio Iago came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Ciudacita AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Iago couldn't finish the play. Ciudacita AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
