Eloy Chago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Wilfredo Florian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marcos Camerino came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Rosario Central fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Camerino couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Eliseo Claude hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marcos Camerino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Marciano Sendoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute Marcos Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Florian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Aimar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Elixio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Evelio Atarratze showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 43 minute of play. Wilfredo Florian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marciano Sendoa went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Pilón AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rosario Central were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Camerino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Marcos Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Florian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Florian came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario Central's Marcos Camerino. But to his dismay, Marcos Camerino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 62nd minute, Dalmacio Chale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rdth minute of the game Marcos Camerino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pilón AFC's Wilfredo Florian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eloy Chago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Wilfredo Florian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Chago might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfredo Florian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eloy Chago ran back to his position shaking his head. Eulalio Aragones hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Pilón AFC's Wilfredo Florian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Pilón AFC from getting a goal against them. Leon Miro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, one of Pilón AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pilón AFC. Marcial Aimar charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcial Aimar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Aimar to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Camerino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Florian having to interfere. Rosario Central's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
