The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ovidio Ihintza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palomar F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Ihintza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romulo Malvin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Raymundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Romulo Malvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Generoso Millan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Ihintza in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romulo Malvin saved Fitarruín from getting behind. After some careless play in the Fitarruín defense, Ovidio Ihintza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romulo Malvin. The Fitarruín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romulo Malvin should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Ihintza in the 42nd minute of play forced Fitarruín's goalkeeper Romulo Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Malvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Ihintza in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Florencio Gartzea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Fitarruín getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cirilo Librado hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Serafo in the 47th minute of play forced Fitarruín's goalkeeper Romulo Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Palomar F.C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 59 minutes, Generoso Millan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fitarruín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Generoso Millan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Fitarruín's Generoso Millan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erasmo Godoy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Palomar F.C.'s Urbano Havier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romulo Malvin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romulo Malvin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Generoso Millan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, Palomar F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Serafo to maneuver through the defense.
