A collision led to Culampajá FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Salvador Bilintx hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Teo Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Ferdinand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermegildo Clemencin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Benedicto Ferdinand when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Ermegildo Clemencin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gaboto FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Benedicto Illart hit a great ball. Teodoro Bitxintxo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edelmiro Orlandus. Gaboto FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Remigio Frechoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edelmiro Orlandus having to make a save. Danilo Bertol's late challenge caught a Culampajá FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Bertol helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Danilo Bertol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teo Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Culampajá FC's Benedicto Ferdinand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Hernandez in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, one of Gaboto FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Teodoro Bitxintxo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Rolando Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teo Hernandez to strike the kick off in the second half. Culampajá FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
