Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Astor Rey made the kick off and thus started the match. Astor Rey took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Candido Nuno. Candido Nuno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Baldomero Nataniel hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Covunco's Candido Nuno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Rey in the 9th minute of play. Candido Nuno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Jobo in the 10th minute of play. When Ramon Quinito fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esperanza's protests and gave Ramon Quinito a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Ramon Quinito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Tobias Roderigo in the 15th minute really tested Octavio Francesco's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Atilano Jobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Covunco's goalkeeper Candido Nuno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Candido Nuno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Jobo in the 22nd minute of play. Atilano Jobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Goi during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st minute, one of Covunco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Covunco. Luisito Ilixo charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisito Ilixo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Covunco got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Ilixo. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Covunco's goalkeeper Candido Nuno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ildefonso Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Octavio Francesco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covunco. Candido Nuno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After some careless play in the Covunco defense, Atilano Jobo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Nuno. The Covunco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Nuno should have stopped the shot. After the first half Esperanza were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Atilano Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Candido Nuno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Astor Rey in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Nuno saved Covunco from getting behind. Octavio Francesco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Azevedo in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Atilano Jobo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Baldomero Nataniel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Candido Nuno. Covunco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomero Nataniel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Baldomero Nataniel fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esperanza's protests and gave Baldomero Nataniel a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Esperanza got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Nataniel. After 75 played minutes Covunco got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Orlondo. Candido Nuno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Francesco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Azevedo in the 80th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilano Jobo got free with Candido Nuno in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Esperanza booed when Covunco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Goi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Rey did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Candido Nuno 85 minutes into the match. Atilano Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Nuno having to interfere. Atilano Jobos short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Candido Nuno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 94 minutes into the match, Atilano Jobo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Candido Nuno. Covunco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilano Jobo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Esperanza's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
