After 18 played minutes Remecó FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Tolino. When Tócota's Godfredo Gartzea in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Remecó FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Godfredo Gartzea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of Tócota booed when Remecó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Tolino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 played minutes Tócota got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Salvino. After having played for 35 minutes, Godfredo Gartzea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tócota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Gartzea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godfredo Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Estefan having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desiderio Laffitte to make the kick off. If Elvio Lesardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Remecó FC's zone, Godfredo Gartzea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Estefan came out of the goal and Godfredo Gartzea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Desiderio Laffitte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Estefan having to interfere. Sergio Estefan made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Godfredo Gartzea sent off a good shot on target. Remecó FC's Sergio Estefan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Remecó FC from getting a goal against them. Gogo Ipar charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gogo Ipar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Gogo Ipar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Lesardo in the 67th minute of play forced Tócota's goalkeeper Faustino Cuarto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Desiderio Laffitte dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sergio Estefan, 0-3. Natalio Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Cuarto having to interfere. Godfredo Gartzea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Sergio Estefan made a huge save. Remecó FC's Elvio Lesardo got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Natalio Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Faustino Cuarto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Godfredo Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Estefan having to interfere. The Tócota supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tócota would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
