The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dalmacio Francis hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Hernan Grabiel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ismael Roano went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Marcelo Bertin kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Denson during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Bruno Denson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Cirilo Constancio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dep. El taco no's Crispin Coulthard didn't even have to move. Eriberto Mantzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Dep. El taco no was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Felo to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Constancio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 25th minute of the match, Eriberto Mantzio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hernan Grabiel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Popoy's goalkeeper Hernan Grabiel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Crispin Coulthard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Emeterio in the 28th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Ismael Roano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eriberto Mantzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hernan Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Dep. El taco no's Ismael Roano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernan Grabiel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Selmo made a kick off. When Justino Emeterio fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Popoy's protests and gave Justino Emeterio a yellow card for diving instead. Justino Emeterio kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ismael Roano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Roano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hernan Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ismael Roano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66thth minute of the game Eriberto Mantzio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Popoy's Hernan Grabiel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eriberto Mantzio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernan Grabiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Ismael Roano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Hernan Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Popoy defense, Eriberto Mantzio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernan Grabiel. The Popoy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernan Grabiel should have stopped the shot. Ismael Roano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Popoy's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Roano came free, but Hernan Grabiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Eriberto Mantzio in the 88th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Belasko in the 93rd minute of play forced Dep. El taco no's goalkeeper Crispin Coulthard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernan Grabiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Roano, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Eriberto Mantzio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dep. El taco no's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Mantzio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Dep. El taco no were the better team. Dep. El taco no's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
