Alejandro Maties fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Veremundo having to interfere. Guardaparque FC's Damaso Castel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Eneas in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Guardaparque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Eneas came free, but Damaso Castel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Marciano Odilon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Guardaparque FC booed when Benítez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Fernendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejandro Maties struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Joaquin Veremundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guardaparque FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alejandro Maties in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Veremundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27thth minute of the game Claudio Duardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Benítez's Joaquin Veremundo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Duardo in the 37th minute of play forced Benítez's goalkeeper Joaquin Veremundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Flavio Steven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guardaparque FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Steven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Veremundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudio Duardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Alejandro Maties's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Veremundo was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Benítez's Eustacio Fernendo got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Benítez's goalkeeper Joaquin Veremundo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Eneas was the one to do the kick off. Filiberto Cordarryl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Castel having to interfere. Guardaparque FC's Damaso Castel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Cordarryl in the 61st minute of play. In the 69th minute, Adrian Transito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Maties in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Eneas in the 80th minute of play forced Guardaparque FC's goalkeeper Damaso Castel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Joaquin Veremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Alejandro Maties ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Veremundo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Joaquin Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Maties in the 94th minute of play. Filiberto Cordarryl took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damaso Castel. Damaso Castel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Guardaparque FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guardaparque FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
