When Jimeno Dimo fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético La Plata's protests and gave Jimeno Dimo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Jimeno Dimo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Gomesano charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Gomesano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, 11 de Tribu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Gomesano to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Marz scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Geleberto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nestor Amaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Ciriaco Martxot made a huge save. In the 13th minute, Jimeno Dimo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Amaya took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciriaco Martxot. Ciriaco Martxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Club Atlético La Plata's Jimeno Dimo got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Jimeno Dimo off the ground. In the 23rd match minute, Club Atlético La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Dimo to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Martxot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Amaya in the 29th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Nestor Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Gomesano in the 39th minute of play forced Club Atlético La Plata's goalkeeper Leopoldo Geleberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Israel Jerico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Nestor Amaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Martxot having to interfere. Leopoldo Geleberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Marz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th match minute, Club Atlético La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Quiroga to maneuver through the defense. Jimeno Lorenz charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimeno Lorenz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jimeno Lorenz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Ciriaco Martxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Amaya in the 90th minute of the match. 11 de Tribu's Ciriaco Martxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Jerico in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Abel Chumo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético La Plata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 11 de Tribu the free kick. In the 93rd minute, one of Club Atlético La Plata:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético La Plata. The goalkeeper, Leopoldo Geleberto, was totally fooled by 11 de Tribu's Lázaro Mitxel, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
