If Filomeno Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute, Mauro Polentzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Honorio Udalaitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Andres Fero might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angel Piarres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres Fero ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Canor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Angel Piarres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filomeno Chaime recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Polentzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Honorio Udalaitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Polentzi ran back to his position shaking his head. Alejandro Osorio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Mauro Polentzi came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Puelches AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Polentzi couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Puelches AFC booed when Lo que quiere la chola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Fagondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorio Udalaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Chaime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Angel Piarres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Fero in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lo que quiere la chola FC's goalkeeper Honorio Udalaitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Mauro Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Chaime was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mauro Polentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 72nd minute, Albino Eriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Puelches AFC's Filomeno Chaime got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Astor Estebe's late challenge caught a Puelches AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Astor Estebe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Lo que quiere la chola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Estebe to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lo que quiere la chola FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Romeo Iratze was slow to take the kick. During this time Puelches AFC's players had a chance to rest. 87 minutes into the match, Puelches AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Fero came free, but Angel Piarres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Polentzi got free with Honorio Udalaitz in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honorio Udalaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Chaime in the 90th minute of the match. Mauro Polentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
