Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulino Luzaide got the match started through his kick off. Paulino Luzaide might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melquiades Hermon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Luzaide ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Hegoi in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Hermon saved Portezuelo from getting behind. Santa Fe FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Vinicio Abarca scored to the left of an out of position Alonzo Ponce, making the score, 1-0. Melquiades Hermon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Hegoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Portezuelo's Leonardo Asur got a free kick in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Santa Fe FC's goalkeeper Alonzo Ponce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermegildo Tiniebra. Vinicio Abarca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo Ponce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Portezuelo's Americo Sancho got a free kick in the 27th minute. Rene Hegoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Hermon having to interfere. Rene Hegoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Paulino Luzaide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Hermon. Portezuelo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulino Luzaide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 36 minutes into the game, Angelo Lander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Fe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portezuelo the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Santa Fe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Lander to maneuver through the defense. Melquiades Hermon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Hegoi in the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Lluciano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alonzo Ponce, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
In the 52nd minute, Tiburcio Lluciano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Ponce was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ermegildo Tiniebra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portezuelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Tiniebra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonzo Ponce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Santa Fe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Tiniebra came free, but Alonzo Ponce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Tiburcio Lluciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portezuelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Lluciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ermegildo Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiburcio Lluciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Ponce having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Santa Fe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Tiniebra came free, but Alonzo Ponce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Hegoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Portezuelo's Tiburcio Lluciano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alonzo Ponce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Tiburcio Lluciano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulino Luzaide's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Hermon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Portezuelo's Melquiades Libertad got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Ermegildo Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Tiniebra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo Ponce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Vinicio Abarca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Ponce having to interfere. Alonzo Ponce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Lluciano in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Llope in the 85th minute of play forced Portezuelo's goalkeeper Melquiades Hermon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Tiniebra in the 86th minute of play forced Santa Fe FC's goalkeeper Alonzo Ponce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Ermegildo Tiniebra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Portezuelo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Santa Fe FC for a fine match.
