The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Matias Jobo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albano Dominic was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Instituto ACC's Javier Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Santiago in the 20th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Instituto ACC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tabaquillo:s goal. After 34 played minutes Tabaquillo got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Licerio. Eriberto Maore hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Silvestre Tajo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabaquillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Tajo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tabaquillo's Leonel Licerio got a free kick in the 41st minute. Eriberto Maore kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The supporters of Tabaquillo booed when Instituto ACC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Ilazki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Godfredo Ilazki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Instituto ACC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silvano Santiago fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 60th match minute, Tabaquillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Tajo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tabaquillo's Leonel Licerio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Instituto ACC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Desiderio Panpili hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Matias Jobo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albano Dominic was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Matias Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Albano Dominic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Santiago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Licerio in the 78th minute of play forced Instituto ACC's goalkeeper Javier Aguilera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Tabaquillo's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Jobo came free, but Albano Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Instituto ACC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Roldan to maneuver through the defense. Javier Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Licerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Mouricio kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Instituto ACC's zone, Silvano Santiago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Aguilera came out of the goal and Silvano Santiago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Licerio in the 93rd minute of the match. Silvano Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
