The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gogo Romero hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Cornelio Gai stood somewhat misplaced when Alejo Nalo came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 5 minute. In the 8th minute, Sunderland A.F.C.'s Silvestre Jorrin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Cornelio Gai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Jorrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Cornelio Gai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Jorrin in the 15th minute of play. Sunderland A.F.C.'s Rogelio Maju played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Nel in the 16th minute of play. Silvestre Jorrin struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Cornelio Gai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sunderland A.F.C.. A collision led to Tacuaral AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Gerardo Arnalt hit a great ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Silvestre Jorrin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunderland A.F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Jorrin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Silvestre Jorrin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunderland A.F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Silvestre Jorrin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Gai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Nalo in the 28th minute of play forced Tacuaral AFC's goalkeeper Cornelio Gai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Tacuaral AFC's Jeremias Nel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogelio Maju narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victorio Quintana kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Cornelio Gai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alejo Nalo went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the game, Sunderland A.F.C.'s Alejo Nalo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Gai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Alejo Nalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Cornelio Gai made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jeremias Nel made the kick off in the second half. Silvestre Jorrin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Gai having to interfere. A collision led to Tacuaral AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tomas Beat hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Tacuaral AFC got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Quintana. In the 73rd minute, Tacuaral AFC's Jeremias Nel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogelio Maju. Rogelio Maju yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Cornelio Gai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Jorrin in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Sunderland A.F.C. getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gogo Romero hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Tacuaral AFC's Tomas Beat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogelio Maju. That made the score 4-2 after 84 minutes of play. The supporters of Sunderland A.F.C. booed when Tacuaral AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Beat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliciano Arnau kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Nemesio Rufio succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to get real power on a long shot . Tacuaral AFC's Cornelio Gai hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 5-2!
