The referee ignored EL NACIONAL FC's protests and gave Cayetano Jerrald a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in EL NACIONAL FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Zaparinqui AFC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. After the first half Zaparinqui AFC were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
